Helium - Hole In The Ground

My first introduction to Mary Timony when I first saw this film in ‘98.

All Over Me is better than Blow-Up, but that’s not saying much—I didn’t like Blow-Up.  Both are dated youth culture murder mysteries with a cameo by a guitar hero.

It’s funny that this clip has your introduction to Mary Timony [0:01], and then shows the emotional experience of someone hearing a Patti Smith record for the first time [5:18].  Maybe my favorite part of this movie is this scene that accurately shows how it feels to get into Patti Smith’s melodrama [8:17].
